For scholarships, apply through the university's website using your reference number and a compelling statement of purpose.

Required Documents for Visa Application

Additionally, you must provide educational documents such as your SSLC, plus two, degree certificates, and both consolidated and semester-wise marksheets. Visa supporting documents from the university, including the acceptance letter and tuition fee payment receipt, are also required. Financial documents include a 3-month bank statement with a minimum closing balance of 1,04,328 SEK (8.5 to 10 lakhs recommended), the ITR of the last three years, proof of income (such as payslips, ITR, or self-employment documents), a sponsorship affidavit if funded by family or relatives, and an education loan sanction or disbursement letter if applicable. Accommodation proof must be provided if not arranged by the university. If applicable, include a marriage certificate and documents justifying any gaps, like experience certificates. After submitting your application, the embassy may contact you for passport verification in New Delhi. Expect a passport request email within 2-3 weeks, and you can collect your Residence Permit card within a month from New Delhi or Chennai.
