Students should plan an average budget of around 1,300 and 1,800 EUR/month to pay for: housing, food, transportation, tuition, supplies, and a few leisure activities. However, Geneve and Zurich are the most expensive cities that require a budget exceeding 1,700 EUR/month.
As an international student in Switzerland, you are legally allowed to work for not more than 15 hours per week (i.e. around 2 hours per day.) During the vacation period, you may work full-time. You should have a budget range of 1600 CHF (Rs.1 lakh) – 2000 CHF (Rs.1.4 lakh) for your monthly expenses (including tuition fee).
Intakes & Deadlines
The spring intake to Study in Switzerland is from February to June. The application deadline for Universities in Switzerland having May Intake will again come much before that, around 31st August.
You need to have a student visa named B permit to study in Switzerland. You can apply to the nearest Swiss Embassy or Consulate for the student visa permit and related visa services. IELTS/TOEFL is mandatory for Switzerland student visa services.

They will guide you to get a good job in the country after your studies. The salary range in Switzerland varies from a range of SFR 20 to SFR 35, depending on your skills.
In terms of work permit after study in Switzerland, students are allowed to remain in the country for six months after completion of the degree to look for jobs. The Switzerland visa for a work permit is given to successful job applicants.
